Zimbabwe is working to strengthen the collection, analysis, and dissemination of sex-disaggregated data and gender statistics. To achieve this, the government established the Gender Statistics Committee, coordinated by the Zimbabwe Statistical Agency (ZIMSTAT) and chaired by the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MWCSMED). The committee, which includes other government ministries, the UN country team, and CSOs, focuses on incorporating gender in upcoming surveys and addressing gender data gaps.
